GTA Online Halloween 2026 Kicks Off October 1 With Phantom Car, Slashers, and a GTA$2M Seasonal Reward
GTA Online's 2026 Halloween season opens October 1 with the Phantom Car back in Freemode, 3x bonuses on Halloween Survivals and Slasher modes, Agency and spooky vehicle discounts, and a five-week seasonal challenge paying out GTA$2,000,000 to players who complete every weekly task before November 4.
Los Santos turns dark again as GTA Online’s 2026 Halloween season opens on October 1, replacing Business Rivalries with five weeks of paranormal events, triple-money modes, and spooky rewards running through November 4 — placing the season’s finale just two weeks before Grand Theft Auto VI launches on November 19.
What’s Live October 1 to 7
The headline feature for this first week is the return of the Phantom Car, Rockstar’s roaming Freemode ghost vehicle that stalks players across the map. Alongside it, the Ludendorff Cemetery Survival mode returns, and the Halloween Featured Series launches with Slasher and Ramius - Slasher as the primary competitive modes. Paranormal sightings are active across the map throughout the week.
Bonus multipliers for the week:
- 3x GTA$ and RP on Halloween Survivals and Halloween Featured Series modes
- 2x GTA$ and RP on Bail Office Standard and Most Wanted Targets
- Hotring Races and Random Transform Races also featured this week
The Weekly Challenge asks players to complete two Bail Office Bounties, paying out GTA$1,000,000 and the Green Vintage Skull Mask upon completion.
A secondary bonus is available for players who complete five Security Contracts before October 7: Rockstar will deposit GTA$500,000 into their accounts within 72 hours of the final contract.
Free Clothing and Vehicle Discounts
The Cheerleader Massacre 3 T-Shirt is available free from in-game clothing stores through October 7 — no purchase or mission completion required, just visit any clothing store and claim it.
Vehicle and property discounts for the week:
- Agency properties — 40% off
- Brigham and Lurcher — 40% off
- Vigero ZX and Buzzard Attack Chopper — 40% off
The Agency discount is a meaningful saving for any player still without one, and with GTA 6’s separate online mode not launching at the game’s November 19 street date, time in GTA Online is still time well spent.
The GTA$2,000,000 Seasonal Challenge
The larger picture for October is the multi-week seasonal challenge: players who complete all five Weekly Challenges between October 1 and November 4 will receive GTA$2,000,000 deposited within 72 hours of finishing the final task. With one challenge per week across five weeks, the requirement is consistent participation rather than any single difficult milestone.
The Halloween season runs to November 4. GTA 6 launches November 19 on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S — making this the last major GTA Online event before the series moves to its next chapter.
