GTA Online August 20-26: Brand Wars Finale, 5X VIP Weekend, and Granger 3600LX on the Podium
The second and final week of Brand Wars brings 5X VIP Work payouts on the August 21-23 weekend, the Declasse Granger 3600LX as podium vehicle, and the Gallivanter Warden now on general sale.
The August 20 GTA Online weekly update is live, marking the final stretch of the Brand Wars event before it wraps on August 26. This second week layers a limited weekend bonus on top of the ongoing faction rivalry, making the Sprunk versus eCola contest more lucrative than ever for players still working toward the event’s top rewards.
5X VIP Work and the Weekend Bonus Push
The standout addition this cycle is a 5X GTA$ and RP multiplier on VIP Work active exclusively on the August 21-23 weekend — Friday through Sunday. For players set up with an Organisation, those three days represent one of the highest-yield VIP windows in recent memory. Outside that window, Hotring Circuit Series races, Freemode Challenges, and Freemode Events continue paying 4X throughout the week, and select Odd Jobs — Paper Route, Firefighter, Forklift Operator, QuickiePharm Deliveries, and Safeguard Deliveries — remain at 3X.
The weekly challenge this cycle rewards completion of three Races: finishing them earns the Princess Racing Tracksuit and a GTA$250,000 bonus. Weekly Heist and Mission completion bonuses have also reset, giving players who already hit those thresholds another opportunity.
Podium, Prize Ride, and the Warden Goes Wide
The Lucky Wheel podium vehicle this week is the Declasse Granger 3600LX, a boxy full-size SUV that has been a community staple since its debut. Players can spin once per day for a chance to claim it outright.
The LS Car Meet Prize Ride is the Enus Deity, claimable by placing Top 4 in the LS Car Meet Series on three separate days during the weekly cycle. It is a demanding condition that typically requires several consistent runs across the week.
The Gallivanter Warden — the new SUV that arrived as a GTA+ exclusive last week — is now on general sale at both Legendary Motorsport and Premium Deluxe Motorsport, giving all players access.
Gun Van, Discounts, and Twitch Drops
The Gun Van is carrying a free Knife this week, with the Unholy Hellbringer at 40% off and the Railgun at 40% off exclusively for GTA+ subscribers. Bail Office properties, upgrades, and modifications are all 40% off, and a broad vehicle discount rotation covers roughly 15 cars at reductions up to 40%.
For those participating in Brand Wars via Twitch, the Twitch Drops campaign continues through August 26: link a Rockstar Social Club account to Twitch, watch participating creators, and earn faction-themed clothing — the Sprunk Sweatsuit or the eCola Tracksuit — plus up to GTA$2,000,000 in cumulative cash drops across the two-week event. This is the final week to claim those rewards before Brand Wars closes ahead of the Netflix showcase on August 27.
Final Weeks of GTA Online’s Active Era
This update lands with roughly 13 weeks remaining until GTA 6 launches on November 19, 2026 on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S. With the Kortz Center Heist confirmed as GTA Online’s last major content drop, themed events like Brand Wars and rotating bonuses are carrying the live game through to launch. The Brand Wars finale and the upcoming Netflix extended look make this one of the busiest fortnights in the franchise’s recent history.
