GTA Online August 13-19: Brand Wars Pits Team Sprunk Against Team eCola
The August 13 GTA Online weekly update launches the two-week Brand Wars event, with 4X payouts on Hotring Circuit races, free clothing from both camps, and Twitch Drops running through August 26.
The August 13 GTA Online weekly update is live, kicking off Brand Wars — a two-week rivalry event that splits the community into Team Sprunk and Team eCola. The event runs from August 13 through August 26, spanning two consecutive weekly cycles and giving players an extended window to pick a side and earn exclusive rewards.
Choose Your Team: Sprunk or eCola
Brand Wars is built around GTA’s long-running in-game rivalry between its two most iconic soft drink brands. Players show their faction loyalty through activity choices across the fortnight, with each side offering its own set of themed rewards. To kick things off, Rockstar is handing out free branded bodysuits for immediate collection at all Clothing Stores — the Sprunk Bodysuit and the eCola Bodysuit — at no in-game cost.
The Declasse Hotring Sabre is also free this week, claimable directly from Southern San Andreas Super Autos without spending any GTA$. It is a no-commitment freebie that fits the racing theme running through this week’s bonus structure.
GTA+ subscribers get an additional head start: the new Gallivanter Warden SUV is available now for members and will roll out to all players on general sale later in the cycle.
Boosted Payouts and Twitch Drops
The weekly bonus rotation focuses on racing and community content. Hotring Circuit Series races and Freemode Events are paying 4X GTA$ and RP throughout the week. Odd Jobs — including Paper Route, Firefighter, and Forklift Operator — along with QuickiePharm and Safeguard Deliveries and the Community Series are all paying 3X. Weekly completion bonuses have also been reset across a range of Heists and Missions, meaning players who already hit those initial payouts this cycle can earn them again from the start.
For Twitch fans, Brand Wars Twitch Drops run from August 13 through August 26. Linking a Rockstar Games Social Club account to Twitch and watching eligible streams from participating creators earns faction-themed clothing — the Sprunk Sweatsuit or eCola Tracksuit — as well as up to GTA$2,000,000 in cash drops spread across the two-week window. A GTA$250,000 weekly challenge bonus is also available for players who hit the standard completion threshold.
One of the Final Chapters
Brand Wars lands at a symbolically charged moment for GTA Online. With GTA 6 confirmed for November 19, 2026 on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S — roughly 14 weeks out — this two-week event runs almost to the edge of September. Rockstar confirmed earlier this year that the Kortz Center Heist was the game’s final large-scale content release, leaving themed events and weekly bonus rotations as the main way the game stays active heading toward launch. Brand Wars will overlap with the August 27 Netflix premiere of Grand Theft Auto VI: An Extended Look, making this fortnight one of the busiest the franchise has had in years across both titles at once.
