GTA Online Kortz Center Heist Launches Tomorrow: New Cars, GTA+ Perks, and Mission Creator Changes
Update 1.73 goes live July 14 at 5 AM EDT, bringing GTA Online's first brand-new heist since Cayo Perico in 2020 alongside new supercars, Hao's Special Works upgrades, and a free Grotti Veleno GT for GTA+ subscribers.
The wait is nearly over. GTA Online Update 1.73, built around the Kortz Center Heist, goes live Monday July 14 at 5 AM EDT on PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and PC. Rockstar has described this as the most substantial content drop for GTA Online since the Cayo Perico Heist in December 2020 — making it the studio’s first genuinely new heist in roughly five and a half years.
New Vehicles Headlined by the Grotti Veleno GT
Beyond the heist itself, Update 1.73 adds a fresh wave of vehicles to the GTA Online roster. The headliner is the Grotti Veleno GT, a supercar that GTA+ subscribers can claim for free from The Vinewood Car Club starting on launch day. Players without GTA+ will be able to purchase it, though pricing had not been announced ahead of Tuesday’s rollout.
The update also introduces additional supercars alongside vehicles with Hao’s Special Works (HSW) upgrade support, giving the tuning scene something new to build around. Drift-compatible options are reportedly part of the incoming roster as well, though Rockstar has not published a complete vehicle list prior to launch.
Rockstar Mission Creator Improvements
Update 1.73 delivers a set of improvements to the Rockstar Mission Creator, the toolset players use to build and share their own GTA Online content. Rockstar confirmed gameplay-focused changes are included, with full patch notes expected when the update goes live. Specifics were not detailed in advance.
What You Need to Start the Heist
To host the Kortz Center Heist as a leader, players must own a Mansion property and have the Art Studio upgrade installed. The Fine Art Collector Program — which ran from June 18 through July 13 — offered Mansion owners a GTA$1,000,000 discount on the Art Studio as its top-tier reward, so eligible players who completed that programme can enter with reduced cost. The heist itself runs solo or in co-op with up to three additional players, with multiple approach options for the infiltration and escape phases.
This update is widely expected to be one of the last significant content additions to GTA Online before the series moves on to Grand Theft Auto VI in November.
