GTA 6 PC Version Still Unconfirmed as November Launch Locks In PS5 and Xbox Only

Rockstar has confirmed GTA 6 for PS5 and Xbox Series X and S on November 19, 2026, but a PC version remains unannounced. Here is what history suggests about a later PC port.

PC players hoping to roam Leonida on launch day are out of luck. Rockstar Games has set Grand Theft Auto VI to release on November 19, 2026, but only for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X and S. As of late June 2026, there is no announced PC version, no PC launch window, and no system requirements. The omission is conspicuous, but it is also entirely on brand for Rockstar.

What Is Actually Confirmed

The console date is locked. GTA 6 arrives day-and-date on PS5 and both Xbox Series consoles on November 19, 2026, with no timed platform exclusivity between Sony and Microsoft. Pre-orders opened around June 25, and the standard edition has been widely reported at $79.99. Beyond that, the platform list ends. Rockstar has not listed PC on its product pages, and no official PC release date exists. Anyone citing a specific PC date right now is speculating, not quoting the studio.

Why a PC Port Is Likely Just Delayed, Not Cancelled

Rockstar has a long and consistent habit of shipping its biggest titles on consoles first and bringing PC along later. Grand Theft Auto V launched on consoles in 2013 and did not reach PC until April 2015, roughly 18 months after the original release. Red Dead Redemption 2 followed a similar pattern, arriving on PC about a year after its console debut. Take-Two CEO Strauss Zelnick has publicly framed console players as the “core consumer,” which helps explain the sequencing.

Applying that template, analysts and commentators broadly expect a GTA 6 PC port sometime in 2027 or 2028, plausibly a year or more after the console launch. Some reports suggest Rockstar could narrow the gap this generation, but none of that is officially confirmed and should be treated as informed guesswork.

The Takeaway for PC Players

If you game on PC, the realistic plan is patience. A port is widely expected given Rockstar’s track record and the enormous PC revenue GTA V continues to generate, but until the studio says so, treat any PC date, spec sheet, or “leaked” requirement as unverified.
