GTA 6 Limited-Edition DualSense Controllers: Black and White Editions Revealed

Sony has revealed two limited-edition DualSense wireless controllers themed around Grand Theft Auto VI, launching November 19 at $84.99 with the Black Edition exclusive to PlayStation Direct.

Sony has revealed two limited-edition DualSense wireless controllers built around the world of Grand Theft Auto VI. Pre-orders for both variants opened on September 10, 2026, and the controllers launch on November 19 — the same day GTA 6 arrives on PlayStation 5.

Both controllers are priced at $84.99 in the United States (£74.99 in the UK, €84.99 in Europe), placing them roughly $15 above the standard DualSense. Sony has confirmed that quantities will be limited, and pre-orders went live at 7:00 AM PT / 10:00 AM ET in North America and 10:00 AM local time across the UK and Europe.

The Design

The controllers share a design language rooted in GTA 6’s Vice City and Leonida aesthetic. The most prominent feature is a large VI in Roman numerals on the touchpad — a direct callout to the game’s title. A palm tree motif runs across both controllers, and the finish uses a color-shifting effect described as a Vice City sunset look, giving the surface a purple pearlescent quality that shifts depending on the light angle.

Beyond the shared elements, each edition takes a distinct direction. The Black Edition draws its inspiration from Vice City’s nighttime atmosphere — darker tones evoking neon-lit streets and late-night energy. The White Edition reflects the city’s daytime side: bright beaches, open skies, and the sunlit coastal look that defines much of Leonida’s visual identity.

Availability

The two editions are not equally easy to find. The Black Limited Edition is exclusive to PlayStation Direct in the United States, United Kingdom, and most major European markets. It will not appear on shelves at traditional retailers in those regions.

The White Edition follows a wider distribution model, available through both PlayStation Direct and participating retailers globally — making it the more accessible of the two for players who cannot or prefer not to shop through Sony’s own storefront.

No hardware bundle pairing either controller with a PS5 console has been announced. These are PS5-exclusive accessories; there is no equivalent Xbox Series X|S licensed variant tied to GTA 6’s launch. The game itself arrives on both consoles on November 19, but the licensed controller partnership is strictly with Sony.
