GTA 6 Leak Analysis: Stamina Bars, a Karma System, and Fuel Gauges in Old Build Footage

Analysis of the August 18 Cyberleek clips points to several previously unconfirmed gameplay systems in GTA 6, including a stamina mechanic, a morality-style karma tracker, and detailed vehicle gauges.

The two GTA 6 gameplay clips leaked by Cyberleek on August 18 are short — roughly one minute each — but community analysis has already catalogued a number of HUD elements and mechanical details that were not part of anything Rockstar has officially shown. Because Bloomberg’s Jason Schreier and insider NateTheHate both placed the build at roughly 2022–2023, everything below should be understood as a snapshot of work-in-progress development rather than a confirmed description of the shipped game. Any of these systems could look different, or work differently, in the finished November 19 release.

Stamina, Karma, and the Wanted Level

A stamina bar is visible during the fistfight sequence in the second clip, depleting as Jason trades blows with an NPC. A stamina-based physical limit has been rumoured in GTA 6 for some time, and the footage is the first visual evidence supporting it — though whether the final UI matches what appears here is unknown.

The clips also appear to show a karma or morality indicator tied to Jason’s in-game actions. Community analysts and publications covering the leak describe the system as tracking player choices and judging outcomes accordingly, though its exact function is not fully legible from the short footage. If it survives to the released game, it would represent a significant shift from GTA 5, which had no persistent morality mechanic.

The highway pursuit in clip two briefly shows a six-star wanted level indicator. GTA 5 capped its wanted system at five stars, so the addition of a sixth tier — reportedly associated with maximum law enforcement response including military units — has been one of the more persistent GTA 6 rumours. The footage, if it reflects the current design, would confirm the expanded scale.

Vehicle Gauges and Open-World Detail

Car dashboard gauges showing fuel level and engine condition are visible in the driving sequence. Detailed vehicle instrumentation has been referenced in prior leaks and unverified insider claims, suggesting Rockstar is building more systems around car upkeep and wear than GTA 5 offered — though the extent of any fuel or maintenance mechanic has not been officially described.

The brief basketball moment in clip one, where Jason moves through his neighbourhood without any mission trigger, is a small but telling glimpse of ambient open-world design. It mirrors the kind of optional character-building activities Rockstar has threaded through its recent games and suggests GTA 6 will continue that approach in Leonida.

August 27’s Netflix extended look is now the natural moment to see how much of this aligns with the game Rockstar is shipping.
